ive been a swiftie for a while but...

ok, so i've been a swiftie since i was 6 years old and i heard blank space for the first time. but recently, i feel like she's changed. OBVIOUSLY  I DO NOT KNOW HER PERSONALLY AND IM NOT CLAIMING TO. i have no type of weird parasocial relationship, i just really like her music. i used to follow easter eggs/her dating life back in middle school, but once i entered high school i became much less interested in that stuff and focused solely on her music. ttpd was in my opinion, her greatest album. that's a whole seperate conversation though. but then she released the life of a showgirl and in my opinion it wasn't nearly as good. the lyricism was deep as usual, but it seemed to me like a forced/rushed album. compared to ttpd, the meanings behind songs weren't as deep and the songs overall weren't as poetic as i feel they normally are. im not going to attempt to guess why because honestly i have no clue, but it just didnt seem like the taylor swift we've all grown to love.
additionally, when certain government social media accounts use her songs to promote certain agendas, she doesn't speak up. i feel like a few years ago, she would've. lots of other artists do, such as olivia rodrigo and sabrina carpenter to name a few.
lately, i've been listening to a lot more olivia rodrigo. that might be because i feel as though her music fits my life really well right now, but for such a young/new artist she is SO talented. that's not to say that when taylor swift was her age she wasn't, i just feel that taylor swift was more talented with songwriting and wasn't as good vocally in the beginning. however, olivia rodrigo excels at both.
i still do love taylor and always will, but i keep finding myself wondering: am i becoming more of a livie? this honestly doesn't matter like at all, but it's been in the back of my mind for a while. what do you guys think?
luv.xoxo
