addressing some concerns

hi everyone,

im going to address something i have been getting a lot of comments on: my ai usage. i openly admitted that i used ai to create some of the images on my page, and i would like to apologize. i wasn't trying to encourage ai usage in anyway, i just wanted to use it to create certain aspects of my page. i tried to find someone who could do the artwork for my page, and i couldn't, so i decided to use ai. i don't know how to draw well nor do i have the money to pay someone. i do understand the negative impacts so i don't need to be lectured. 

that being said, someone found my video and offered to do the art for my closet page, so the artwork on that page will be updated as soon as i recieve it. i learned what photobashing is from someone who actually offered to help as well, rather than just get mad at me. 

while i do understand the impacts ai has, it really upsets me how ive been treated because of this. its valid to be upset, but attacking me personally isn't going to solve anything at all. i am not behind the creation of ai or databases, but i'm being treated as though i am. rather than calling me lazy and making assumptions about who i am as a person, i would've appreciated if people actually gave me/helped me find other resources to create artwork from my page after i explained that i didn't know how else to do it. if your goal is to encourage people to use alternatives, explaining those alternatives without insulting them is going to be a lot more effective. i created this page to be a safe space for everyone and i can tolerate constructive criticism, but i will not tolerate blatent hate. coming from a person who has dealt with many situations that are nothing but hurtful, i wont put up with this in an environment i created.

what i did felt small to me, but i am now seeing the ripples it has on everyone else. i am linking a petition that you can sign to protect our environment from these harmful ai data centers. moving forward, i will no longer use ai to generate images for my blog.
